Xaviere watched as Auspice shifted and took to the air, and as Kenyon changed into a half-form some Shifters seemed able to achieve. The Human was stuck with his usual form, of course - as was she, although she was lucky enough to have a usual form that had wings. Creepy wings, but functional.
She wouldn't fly really, though. She didn't want to attract hunting dragons. Auspice's pigeon form was small enough to avoid notice but Xaviere had no desire to flutter around resembling lunch. Instead the Fairy flew from ledge to ledge, keeping pace with those that needed to climb, only putting rather less effort into her ascent than them. She was a Sky Fairy, which meant her powers of flight were far more powerful than the average winged creature.
"Shiny things? I wouldn't be opposed to shiny things either you know. I usually work for such trinkets, or perhaps coins, but if dragons happen to store them then why not kill two birds with one stone, right?" The Fairy glanced briefly at the pigeon above them.
"Er, figuratively. Not literally I hope." No guarantees for any of them to survive, of course - the Cliffs were dangerous. But so was all of Litharia. Hopefully everyone had a decent survival instinct.
"That is an interesting form you've got," Xaviere observed as she glanced at Kenyon, finding herself with plenty of time for idle chat as they struggled upwards.
"Do all Shifters have that ability?" Endlessly curious, the Fairy was never against learning something new to pass the time and make the journey more interesting.[/font]
