Gabriel’s smile was contagious and Hara knew it was in part because of his ancestry. She found the combination of his golem charm and elemental ferocity attractive in a platonic kind of way. She was content to simply be around him. Hara may possess some of the natural charm of her father, but Gabriel was on an entirely different level. It interested her in a way that would have only shown up as mild amusement if his mixed heritage was not so similar to her own.
"Do you drink?"
Once again, the daemon lord managed to catch her off guard. She looked up at him, curious as to where this statement was going.
"If so, perhaps you'll allow me to buy you a drink? There seems to be a distinct lack of suitable females here - maybe in a tavern you'll have more luck."
And then he grinned. Oh, that grin! It spoke of dark desires and wild nights of fun. Now THAT was the grin of a daemon. Hara responded in kind, baring her fangs with wicked humor. “I drink,” she told him predictably. Most daemons did. “Are you going to be my wingman?” She was mostly joking. The two of them female hunting together would be an interesting thing indeed. For one, they were less likely to get competitive. It was easy to tell who had dibs on what female; Hara would get the ones interested in women and Gabriel would get the ones interested in men. That may mean for candy for her daemon lord, but that hardly mattered to Hara. Quality was more valuable that quantity, after all.
Even if they did not find any women to play with (a scenario that was more likely for Hara than Gabriel considering the circumstances), they could still have an entire night of fun drinking and dancing. Humans may be a stuck up breed, but once they started drinking they became just as silly and idiotic as everyone else. In fact, Hara hardly minded their company so much after they downed enough ale to get them singing. Yes, this idea of Gabriel’s was a good way to salvage the night even if she did not get what she was looking for.
Hara scanned the streets and nearby buildings. When her eyes landed on one that was brightly lit, and the wind carried sounds of raucous laughter emanating from its interior, Hara gestured lazily towards it and raised an eyebrow; a silent question.
