Spirit always made him nervous. The gazelle looked around him uneasily, watching the different people go by - some looked kind and friendly, while others looked like they would gladly slit his throat if he should but look at them wrong. In fact, one man snapped on the poor boy for "looking at him wrong", making Sky stutter and stumble over his words in apology before he quickly moved on. This place had always been, and still was, too rough for the timid little shapeshifter to traverse comfortably.
But he had a mission.
The letter his king had given him was tucked away in the back of his trousers, hidden from the public eye. Skyvy was on his way to what was generally known as the human tavern within Spirit, the Battle Tower, as that was where Commander Sateria could usually be found. It was an easy place for access, after all. Of course, given its name, it was also considered to be a pretty rough place to stay. Bar fights tended to break out often amongst the humans, given their general violent nature. Not as violent as the daemons, of course, but still pretty bad compared to most fae and shifters.
Carefully, Sky wove himself through the people. His skin brushed against the arms of many women and men as he went, since the boy was bare on the chest. While traveling, the shifter tended to, well, shift into his gazelle form for quicker movement. Usually he kept a pair of pants with him, tied around his waist or something, which is where the trousers had come from - people tended to not like a naked man running around.
The boy was so busy watching out for other people that, when he looked up, utter confusion hit him. Where... where was he? Skyvy had never seen this part of Spirit before. How did he get to the Battle Tower from here?

The battle muse walked on through the Spirit, her glamour thrown in place, dimming her eyes in color from its usual bright red. Red eyes and hair weren't common around here and it was always best to hide oneself as a fae; with the humans waging war on her kind, it wasn't hard to be regarded as a threat--even in the Spirit. Nevertheless, the battle muse made her way to the place that she always went to when she had spare time; the Battle Tower. She was the only female in there besides the waitresses, but she had no problem with that.
Alyth was one of the females that had managed to earn the respect of many men in many of the brawls that broke out. Well, she was a tough one to deal with as they figured out after successfully wiping three men after a mug or two of brandy. She had earned her place there and she wasn't backing down. Alyth never backed down from a fight and now was a time to look for another.
In her eagerness to reach the rough tavern, she almost missed the slight boy that a huge man had been able to stumble into. Huge width-wise, not height-wise. Alyth was taller than the man by an inch or two and it was only because of her reflexes that she had caught the boy. "Y'might want to watch it around here," She told the bare-chested boy. "People 'round here don't take much notice of a kid like you." She said with a hint of a smile. The battle muse was well aware that they were in everyone's way, but no one seemed to have the guts to approach them. Jager was at the stables, not with her, thankfully. If she was on the battlehorse, she might have run over the kid and didn't even realize it.

Skyvy hadn't noticed the man, and obviously the man hadn't noticed him, and so he stumbled. Air escaped his lips in a gasp as he started to fall, one hand flicking up to try to catch him while the other instinctively fell to the letter that he was hiding in his trousers. Of course, there was nothing to catch him.
Or so he had thought.
A small 'oof!' sound passed out of his throat as he fell into something or, rather, someone. "Sorry," the boy murmured quickly, trying to make sure that the person he had run into didn't immediately decided to slit his throat because of it. That would be terrible. Please don't kill me, please don't kill me...
"Y'might want to watch it around here. People 'round here don't take much notice of a kid like you."
Eh? So it wasn't someone who was going to slit his throat? Skyvy twisted in the arms of the person who had saved him from falling, wanting to see who it was. To the shifter, his savior looked like a male with black hair and blue eyes, probably a human though it was possible he could have been a shifter. It was really doubtful though. Skyvy's ears even picked up a male voice, though it had a feminine lilt to it as well.
Color ran to his cheeks immediately. Of course he would run into someone. Why would he have to end up running into someone? This was terrible. Really really bad. Not only had he run into someone, but now he was all embarrassed about it and it was incredibly obvious that he was embarrassed by it. Skyvy timidly peered up at the male, hesitant to speak. "Ahh... I'm - I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going... I didn't mean to run into you. If you'll excuse me..." Sky shifted, putting both legs back on the ground and gently tugging away from his savior's hold.
"But thank you for saving me," he added quickly, a timid smile forming on his lips. Oh gods... He wanted to die of embarrassment. Of course, that was a common occurrence for Skyvy.

(( So I see. xDD ))
Alyth allowed herself a grin as the little kid muttered an apology. He was a strange one; she had caught him, not been caught in his fall. Perhaps he was polite, definitely more polite than most people. Looking at him, she noticed that he seemed much like a shifter, for humans especially this small didn't like to run around without a shirt.
She raised her eyebrows in an amused question as he caught sight of her. He seemed... surprised to see her, not what he had been expecting? Oh, right. She still had her glamour in place, she didn't know what he was seeing, she only knew what he looked like, for he couldn't use a glamour. The battle muse's grin stretched as color rose to the boy's cheeks. Embarrassed now, was he? Strange little one, this one. From the way that he looked up at her, it seemed to her that he was slightly afraid of her--her height, perhaps.
"Ahh... I'm - I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going... I didn't mean to run into you. If you'll excuse me..."
Alyth let the boy go as he sought to be released from her hold. Somehow she wasn't convinced that this shifter knew his way around, it was like an inner instinct that made her want to comfort this creature somehow; he was afraid, wary, more like it and definitely eager to be out of her presence.
It was too bad that Alyth wasn't an easy person to get rid of.
"But thank you for saving me,"
Alyth shook her head in an easy manner. Well-mannered, this one was. "'Welcome," She replied, though making no move to leave. After a moment's pause, she added, "And where might you be going?" The battle muse could tell that the shifter wasn't comfortable enough to have his name exchanged with her yet and didn't prompt him. When the time was ready, he'd disclose his. She had half a mind to escort him to whatever destination he was going to--just in case he got caught in a stampede, but only if it was anywhere near the tavern.

His savior was looking at him strangely... It made Skyvy uncomfortable to be scrutinized like that, but at least it wasn't a terrible look. In fact, the male that he had run into seemed to be slightly worried about him - or was that all in his head? It looked to Sky like that anyways... But, hey, at least his savior wasn't mean, right? He could only be grateful for that.
"And where might you be going?"
Skyvy blinked, looking up through his brown hair at his new companion. Should he tell his savior where he was going? It's not like it wasn't a very secret place, and his companion wouldn't even know what he was doing there. So what could it hurt? "I'm actually heading to the Battle Tower," Sky answered after a moment, offering another hesitant smile. The Battle Tower had a reputation for being rough and tough and anyone could take one look at the gazelle shifter and tell that he wasn't a fighter. The boy was very slight in the torso, even on the verge of looking like he had mild anorexia or something of the sort.
So, thinking about it, it was actually funny that he was heading to the Battle Tower. Hopefully Skyvy wouldn't have to end up fighting anyone. He would flee. The boy was not afraid to admit that he was a coward.

Alyth watched as the shifter looked up to her; he was about to give an answer. She wasn't an impatient person and could wait for it. Also, the shifter still didn't seem too comfortable with her. She wasn't going to do anything about it; if he chose to be like that, so be it. There was nothing she could do about his feelings.
"I'm actually heading to the Battle Tower,"
The battle muse raised a disbelieving eyebrow at that. Him? Battle Tower? The shifter looked like he barely had the power for a light punch! It seemed to her that if he did try something like that, he might break a couple of bones or something, but then again, those legs of his came in handy. Perhaps he wasn't a customer but some other bar tender or messenger? Whatever. It wasn't her business.
Alyth's mouth quirked in a smile. "Quite a coincidence there, kid." She told him as she crossed her arms, tilting her head a little. "I happen to be heading there myself. Would you care for my company?" She asked him. She was going to follow him no matter what the answer, but the better impression he got of her, the less problematic things in general would be. "I am sure you would not like to be tossed around by a few bigger others?" She asked him, knowing perfectly that the creature was scared of brawls. After all, it wasn't that hard to notice the fact that someone like him was going to the Battle Tower despite the odds.
And anyways, she needed a tankard of whisky, something that she hadn't had for a while and she wanted. She was sure she wouldn't have to babysit the shifter. Right?

Wait... his savior was heading to the Battle Tower too? That really was a huge coincidence. Out of all the people that Skyvy could have run into, it was someone that was making their way to the same place he was. That hardly happened in a huge city like Spirit (well, maybe it happened more than he thought, but still). Also, if his new companion was heading to the Battle Tower... Then he was probably pretty tough and liked to fight.
The boy perked up at his new companion's offer. Go with him? That would... well, that would be great actually. It seemed like this guy could handle himself in a fight, and Skyvy certainly wanted to avoid any sort of fighting. Perhaps the brawlers would focus more on his companion than himself? The gazelle hoped so.
"Ah... no, I'd really rather not. You're right. So, no, I wouldn't mind company," the shifter replied. Hey, if someone was going to offer potential help to him, Sky wouldn't turn it down. His new companion might come in handy later.
The gazelle blinked suddenly. "Oh. I'm Skyvy, by the way..." Another timid smile. He seemed to be full of them.

Watching the shifter seem to lighten as she offered to accompany him to the Battle Tower was rather satisfying. The shifter didn't seem very hesitant about accepting her help at all. Also, this little shifter might just get her a discount at the bar; as said before, one did not know what the shifter's connection with the Battle Tower was. Alyth was currently running a little lower than comfortable on the cash side and it would be nice to save some.
"Ah... no, I'd really rather not. You're right. So, no, I wouldn't mind company,"
Yep, the kid could see some sense in this with taking up the offer. He also seemed to acknowledge the fact that he was smaller and probably rather defenseless. If the battle muse were in his place, she'd have done so as well, so she couldn't blame him. Besides, company besides Jager would be nice as well, having someone to talk to.
"Oh, I'm Skyvy by the way..."
Her day just brightened again. The shifter had told her his name. That was a start. The name didn't come in familiar to the battle muse, but hey, the world was wide and she hadn't met many shifters. "Call my Alyth." She told him, taking the lead to the Battle Tower. She struck up a comfortable pace for her long legs, unsure if Skyvy could keep up. If he was uncomfortable, he'd ask. Such was logic. "What brings you to the Battle Tower?" She asked, partly for the sake of conversation and partly out of mild curiosity.

Alyth? Wasn't that a girl's name?
Skyvy blinked in confusion, staring up at his companion. The person before him was definitely male. So why was he named Alyth? The boy opened his mouth to ask about it, then thought better of the question and closed his mouth. It could potentially be a touchy subject. Sky didn't want to accidentally anger his new companion.
The gazelle trotted after his savior, easily keeping up. His own legs weren't longer than average, but the boy naturally walked at a quicker pace than most people so it balanced out. And then the questions began.
Sky bit his lip. He could just flit around the truth. "I'm actually supposed to meet someone there," he finally answered, pleased with the results. It wasn't the complete truth, but it wasn't a lie either. So it was good, right? Skyvy sure hoped so. Hopefully Alyth wouldn't pry too far into the business - even though Alyth appeared human, that didn't mean that he was on the side of the king. After all, some humans had defected and joined the Song while others had even joined with the fae. So, Skyvy still had to be careful even around a human.

The battle muse caught Skyvy's look of surprise. Putting two and two together, she realized that she had her glamour on and what Skyvy saw was probably not a female, au contraire, it was probably a male, hence the surprise. She didn't think that the name Alyth was uncommon for females enough to make Skyvy stare like that. Well, it was all the glamour.
Alyth wondered what would happen if she took off the glamour. One look at Skyvy told her that if she used the proper tactic, he wouldn't tell. Also, the men in the Battle Tower knew her as a battle muse. Most of the time they were too drunk to care and she didn't mind killing anyone she had to.
"I'm actually supposed to meet someone there,"
Alyth raised an eyebrow. That was a change. Skyvy was meeting someone there. Though she hadn't gotten too close to the humans, she could tell that some of them looked rather important. Maybe there was a chance for a job.
Sounded good, and if it was anyone, she had better take off that glamour. "Is that so?" She asked the shifter, semi-curiously. "Well, do you mind waiting for a moment, I need to ready myself." They were almost at the Battle Tower and Alyth hoped that the shifter wouldn't run. Leaving the choice to him, she ducked into the alleyway, feeling relieved as she released the glamour.
Now all that remained was to make sure that Skyvy didn't freak. "Skyvy?" She called, wanting to make sure that the shifter was still there.

Confusion blossomed on his face as Alyth ducked into an alleyway, and the boy hesitated for half a second before following after his companion. As he entered the alley, however, the shifter stopped dead in his tracks. Where the male that he had been conversing with before stood was now a fae female - a battle muse if the hair and eyes told him anything. And this female had to have been his savior; no one else was around, and no one could run that quickly. Not even him.
"Alyth?" he asked, just for confirmation. However, Skyvy had already decided that this battle muse had to be his savior. "..Oh," the boy murmured, staring at Alyth. He was in trouble. Here he was taking battle plans to Commander Sateria and now he had a fae following him. What if she got a hold of the plans? Skyvy would be skinned alive. Potentially literally, too.
The boy hesitated. Should he leave? Or should he try to play everything off? It was perhaps too late to do so, however... But running seemed like it could be a bad idea too. Battle muses were known for the fighting skill, so if she caught him... He didn't want to think about that.
Skyvy swallowed the lump in his throat. "You're a fae... I didn't know that..."

Alyth nodded with a smile. It felt good to be back in proper form with her scarlet hair tumbling over her shoulder. Regarding the shifter with her dark red eyes, she noticed his sudden hesitation. What was wrong? She was ony a fae; a free-lance knight at that and the boy was a shifter, a messenger for someone that she didn't know.
In her mind she could see nothing wrong. And if there was nothing wrong, there was no reason to be so hesitant about things. Sure, Skyvy might have been a little intimidated, but it was part of the package.
"You're a fae... I didn't know that..."
Yes, Alyth could see that he didn't know that. He looked too disconcerted to know that. Well, surprise for him. The battle muse wasn't one to dwell on awkward things. "Yes I am a fae. I also happen to be a free-lance knight searching for a job." She told him gently. He was no threat to her now, there was no need to take care of him.
She started up her pace, a slower one at this, feeling the familiar green cape flapping as she cast a glance to check if Skyvy was following. "Also, if I have not mentioned this before, I with you no harm and therefore do not pose any threat to you." That was as much reassurance that the fae could provide the shifter. She was sure that the shifter would stay for a while longer , at least until they got to the tavern.

"Yes I am a fae. I also happen to be a free-lance knight searching for a job."
A knight looking for a job? Then what did she want with him? Skyvy had no jobs to offer her, and even if he did he wouldn't be able to pay for it. The boy wasn't directly paid for his service under the king. His payment was being able to live in the castle, having shelter and food. It was enough for him.
"Also, if I have not mentioned this before, I wish you no harm and therefore do not pose any threat to you."
That was honestly a relief. Alyth looked like she could easily tear Skyvy apart - if she managed to get ahold of him, that is. So it was nice to know that she for sure wasn't going to harm him. That still brought up the question of what she did want. Did she have a motive? Or was she simply looking for someone to talk to for a while? So far it seemed like the latter was more likely. Sky certainly hoped so.
"I'm sorry... I don't have any jobs for you. So... what do you want?" the boy asked, then realized that sounded rude and quickly went to correct himself. "Not that I don't mind your company, of course! It's just... most people don't talk to me unless they want something from me or want me to do something." That, unfortunately, was true. Back at the castle the shifter was rarely spoken to, except when King Quirinoh wanted him to run a message somewhere. It was sometimes pretty lonely. But Skyvy was too timid, too shy to change anything about it, so the boy didn't complain. What was the point of complaining about it?

"I'm sorry... I don't have any jobs for you. So... what do you want?"
Alyth couldn't help but laugh at Skyvy's statement. She could already guess that he had no jobs for her; her current accompanying him was but a mere favor on her part for she was feeling upbeat. He was timid and she couldn't help but ruffle his hair, messing it up a little. In her current mood, she wasn't quite as severe as she normally was.
His getting flustered only seemed to make her even more amused, only talked to when someone needed him? That definitely did not sound like someone with a job for her--unless she could convince his employer. Now she was rather curious as to who Skyvy's employer was. "I can see that, alright," She told him as she stopped laughing. "Right now, all I want is a good tankard of whisky and maybe a coupl'a tuff'uns to beat the crap outta. Not including you; you're a bit too flimsy for my standards."
Wow, it was like a prelude to getting drunk, which she almost never got. A good fight, though, that was better. The battle muse wasn't the only one with armor in the Battle Tower, there were plenty of others, as it was a popular place for knights to come. And speaking of the place, there it was. She saw the familiar building loom up in front of them. "Welcome to the Battle Tower." She told Skyvy, pushing the door open not entirely violently. The place inside was loud and familiar albeit not packed too tightly with humans. She grinned as a few humans called out to her, saluting playfully. Alyth turned back to Skyvy, "Well, in y'go. If you need help or something, gimme a shout, 'kay?" She winked at the shifter.

Skyvy didn't flinch back as Alyth ruffled his hair. It was a gesture that he was very used to, as those he worked for tended to do just that - almost every time he delivered a message, the receiver of the message would ruffle his brown hair. He wasn't sure why. Maybe they thought he was cute and deserved some sort of praise for a job well done; maybe it was because he was a shapeshifter and it was some sort of degrading thing, like a dog that had done good being petted; or maybe they just liked the feeling of the tiny horns hidden in his hair. Vaguely, Sky wondered if the fae woman had noticed the horns.
"You're a bit too flimsy for my tastes."
Was that an insult? Not that Skyvy minded; he would rather like to avoid fighting the battle muse, as they had a tendency for winning fights. That was their speciality after all. A smile broke out over his face. "Yeah... I don't think I'd be much fun to fight anyways. I'd run away or take a hit and fall down." The boy was not afraid to admit how much of a coward/weakling he was.
The Battle Tower... Great. Now all he had to do was find Commander Sateria without Alyth knowing. Maybe if he was lucky she wouldn't know who the man was, and that would just make his job even easier. Wait... He was going first? Panicky, the boy looked up at Alyth. His cheeks burned as he noticed her wink, and the shifter hesitated for a moment before timidly stepping inside. The people inside had turned to look when the door opened and they were obviously disappointed when it was Skyvy who entered the tavern. Ah well... Oh! There was the commander. The shifter started to make his way toward the man, then thought better of it and hesitated, waiting for Alyth to come inside and occupy herself with alcohol or a fight before he made his move to the commander. She was a fae after all... As much as he didn't like not trusting her (she seemed nice), Skyvy had a job to do.

Alyth noticed the boy's timid, scared look. Wow, he might have been a little more timid than she had thought; it was just a tavern, nothing much was going on at the moment. Everyone was just looking at the newcomer, a usual thing. Most people had a thing or two to get vengeance on and Alyth was a popular one for that--albeit the ones that tried were smart enough to have a friendly match.
"Go on." She urged Skyvy as she stepped into the tavern herself, grinning like heck as she slammed the door shut. Almost automatically, a few cries and shouts of recognition reached her ears almost the same time as she noticed the familiar surroundings. The battle muse turned to Skyvy; "Alright, go on and do whatever business you have, I've got mine. And remember, don't hesitate to shout for me." Giving the timid thing a last ruffle of his hair, she went to immerse herself in the crowd that she had to get through before getting to the bar. On the way, many called out, some compliments and others challenges. Right now she didn't care, all she wanted was the whisky.
Finally battling her way through, she grinned at the bar lady. "The usual, please, Helga." Alyth told the brunette who winked back, taking out a tankard and filling it with the whisky.
"Here y'go, love." She clapped Alyth's hand, pulling her forward in a kind of hug. She grinned at the woman, taking a seat. "Thanks." And with that, she downed some whisky. That stuff never seemed to get any wrose no matter how much she drank it. Vaguely she wondered how Skyvy was doing; pretty good, she guessed since she hadn't heard the familiar voice cry out yet.

With one more ruffle to his hair, Skyvy smiled back at Alyth, waiting until she had started moving before he began to slip through the crowd to the corner that Commander Sateria and some of his men sat. The human males were large and powerful-looking and would have immediately intimidated the little shapeshifter had Skyvy not worked with the commander before - he liked Commander Sateria, and Commander Sateria seemed to like him.
As Sky approached, the men noticed him. "Skyvy! Good to see you!" the commander bellowed, clasping the thin boy on the shoulders when he was close enough. The gazelle smiled up at the commander. "And you too, Commander." Skyvy nodded at the other men, since he didn't know who they were and couldn't greet them by name. Commander Sateria grinned at the gazelle. "Well, I would offer you a drink and to sit with us, but if you're here then you must be on business. What does the king wish of me now?"
Without further ado, the boy removed the letter from the back of his trousers and handed it to the commander. The man took it, broke the seal, and began to read. As he finished it, his eyes were wider than normal. "A breakout at the Ice Castle!? Those damned Song members... They're getting more and more bold, aren't they? Well, tell King Quirinoh that it will be done and apologize to him for me for not sending a formal letter back. I have no parchment supplies right now." "Of course," the boy answered with a smile. "That's a good boy!" the commander exclaimed, ruffling Skyvy's hair like he had expected.
"Well, I had better be heading back to the castle now..." "Of course, of course. God's speed!" Skyvy turned and walked away from the group. Now that that was done... He supposed he should find Alyth now. It would be rude just to leave without her, wouldn't it? And she had been so nice to him so far. Unfortunately, the boy couldn't find the shock of red hair within the crowd. "Alyth!" he finally called, hoping that she wouldn't be angry at him for shouting her name - he was only supposed to do so if he was in trouble.

Oh damn it all, she was running out of whisky. She even wanted to keep the limit to one tankard. She stared at the almost empty oak tankard, squinting a little as if she could trick herself into thinking that it was actually half full instead of almost empty. It didn't work, not by a long shot.
Now that she was left with barely anything (and she was still sober) what was she going to do? The prospect of more whisky was very tempting, though she desperately wanted to keep her money for a later time.
"Alyth!" The battle muse was so obsessed with her deep thinking that she almost didn't register the voice calling her name. It was probably some challenger anyways... but there was no murmur of protests as he made his way to her, no angry protests once someone was shoved to the ground or trampled or something like... Skyvy.
Right. She had promised the shifter that he should call for her if he needed her. Tossing a coin or two to Helga, she followed her ears to the shifter; he didn't seem very alarmed, so he was probably just done with whatever business he had. In fact, he had just made up her mind for her; one tankard of whisky was enough. "You done?" She called to the shifter as she literally picked someone up and placed him out of her path in a calm, but firm movement to make her way to the boy. He looked done, but maybe he wasn't; it was always better to make sure.

Riza looked around curiously. The Battle Tower was an interesting place; full of colors, and fights, and alcohol. Chess loved it there, and immediately made his way over to a waitress he had befriended in times past, Helga was her name, or at least something like that. The girl left her furry friend to sucking up to the woman and trotted up to the bar; ordering an ale so she wouldn't seem out of place.
As nobody really gave a damn about whatever drinking age that might exist in places of the city (Riza did not know of one, but it was surely possible) Riza was quickly served. She chose an empty seat at the bar and smoothed a hand absentmindedly over her black, knee-length shorts.
It seemed there were many of the usuals here today, including one particularily strong battle muse woman whom Riza had seen only once before, and a long while back at that. Seeing the nervous boy with her, the girl decided it would be interesting to talk to them. She finished of the small glass she had asked for and placed it on the counter, making her way carefully toward the unusual pair.
When she was about four or five feet away, a huge hand clapped onto her shoulder, causing her to jump slightly. Riza chanced a look back and frowned. It was Miles; a man who was often too drunk and prone to pulling weapons when he began to lose. His temper was well known around here, and that made Riza nervous.
She turned with practiced speed and grabbed his wrist firmly, twisting it so hard she felt a tiny crack. She hooked one of his legs and hers and twisted, pulling with all of her strength as she did so. He gave a startled yelped as he was launched and slammed into the ground.
Riza watched him with wide, startled eyes, not quite believing what she had just done. A long time ago her street friends had taught her the means of fighting, but she had only used them once or twice, and certainly not on a man of Miles' size. She stood self-consciously but swiftly, noting the momentary change of volume and the general murmur of laughter from those who had seen.
Miles began to stand, murder in his eyes. He was still a few feet off, but coming closer with steady deliberate steps. Riza frowned deeply and set into a fighter's crouch, not exactly sure if she could hold off a large angry man who was a fair fighter on his own. His face held a lurid, teasing grin as he came closer, causing Riza to take a few steps back.
He threw one punch, which the girl dodged, and ended up bumping into a table near the wall. She looked around and noticed she was boxed in with Miles fast aproaching, so she grimaced and summarized her situation in one fitting word. "Shit."

Something was happening. Alyth had been with this crowd for too long not to be able to not recognize the change in atmosphere, a challenge--one of interest--had arisen. That immediately sparked the battle muse's interest. A fight of some kind, between who? Sometimes there were weapons drawn, others were a quick one-sided fight, what could it be now?
She turned curiously, noticing the ring of people that had subconsciously formed around the pair; a litle human girl with black hair in a fighter's crouch that wasn't too much to the batle muse's liking and a familiar, burly person that was at least thrice her size. It looked like it was going to be a one-sided fight. The battle muse had taken on Miles before; she knew that he had a short temper and could take offense to any little thing that someone did to him. The only thing that she could consider good was the fact that he had a blade. That meant that she could use a blade too.
The girl was backed into a corner. She couldn't see Miles's expression but she could imagine it; spiteful, laced with victory and malice. Yep, it was time to intervene. Alyth cast a glance to Skyvy; the shifter should be fine on his own and this time if he wanted to come, he could. Saving two kids in the Battle Tower would be easy for the battle muse. Pushing her way through easily, she made her way to the man who was as tall as her and twice as large. "Miles!" The battle muse shouted, "Being a little coward again aren't ya?" She leered, standing with her arms crossed and head tilted in question. This way she could fight him and buy the human girl some time--a visit or two without that man trying to kil her.
