Above: The entrance into Faeryland.
The entrance to the mound lies in the Forest of the Fae, very close to the border of the Northern Tangle. It is nestled within a small hill. The door way is made of wood that was said to grow naturally as a gate. There is a small window that may open so that whichever fae is guarding the gate may look upon those who wish to enter. The window is only big enough for one to see the guard’s eyes.
Within the mound are hundreds of rooms. Visitors may choose a room. Everything within the mound is given for free so that there can be no debts or contracts made. That in itself is a contract, however. Give of yourself that other may give unto you. The mound has been the most peaceful part of Litharia and Faery ever since the war between the courts. Any fae may seek shelter there.
In the center of the mound lies a large cavern with hundreds of seats made from rock with straw padding. This is where the council convenes. All are welcome to sit in on the council but only council members may speak. This council gathers every thirteenth moon and whenever necessity causes one to be called. Only the fairy princess may call a council meeting to convene and only the fairy princess may end it.
At the northern most point of the mound is the entrance to Faeryland. Faeryland is a mystical and magical place of illusion and wildness. No non-fae can enter and stay sane. In fact, one could argue that Faeryland has even eaten away the sanity of the fae themselves, for they are whimsical creatures of fancy and strange delights. Faeryland is extraordinarily colorful, full of laughter, song, revelry, and all sorts of sadistic pleasures and tortures.
