I despise the marshes. If there was any place I would be glad to see go, it would be those marshes. And vampire insects. I hate vampire insects. I would enjoy crushing every last one of them.
The only beneficial thing the marsh did for me? It gave me Gabriel, who I've asked to be my guide despite the fact that he's a dirty, untrustworthy, daemon outsider. And even though I feel that way, I can't help but like him. Why do I enjoy his company and why do I want to answer his questions? An outsider with influence. How dangerous. ... I don't like Gabriel because he makes me like him. That's what I've decided.

Gabriel brought me to Spirit, just like I asked. How the masses live so close together, so loudly I'll never understand. I was tense throughout the entire visit. My daemon leader guide (he is not yet worthy to be called a friend) noticed and took me to one of their taverns to drink their liquor.
We of the Wolverine Tribe drink very strong alcohol, but nothing like anything Gabriel ordered. It burnt my tongue and my throat, and left my eyes watering like I'd never drank before in my life. What is this stuff? Something Gabriel said this Calandra woman came up with.
Hm. Perhaps I will have to meet her.
