Appearance:
As all spirit elves, Gale has deep, unblemished, midnight blue skin. His eyes are light gray and the color of (forgive the irony) iron, despite his strong dislike for the human metal. As he is rather young, Gale has black hair, long and curly at the ends. It is down to about mid-back where it is always tied up neatly with a purple band in regard to the element of spirit, usually represented by the color of purple. Gale will always be seen with a calm, collected expression on his face. He prides himself as a master of emotions, rarely letting his emotions out when talking to anyone except his animal companion, Kuolema, a ghost owl whom he will confide anything in. His eyes will always be assertive, if not a little too analytical. His ears, as all fae are pointed and almost always visible.
Gale takes comfort in a purple cloak, almost always hiding the leather shoulder guard that is strapped onto his shoulder where Kuolema, a spirit owl sits. Under this, he wears a simple tunic and leggings, both black, ending in knee length boots. As a precaution, Gale carries a dagger, dropped down one of his boots, while the other holds a silver throwing disc. Although he is more skilled with the throwing disc, he finds more use for the dagger, as more of then than not, he is engaged in close combat.
Personality:
Gale will always be calm and quiet, if not, thirsty for knowledge. It's like he has an obsession for knowledge, but instead of getting it through physical means, he will use his ability as a spirit elf to speak with ghost and the spirits that have passed on. Kuolema, his spirit owl is what he believes to be an omen of communication, believeing that it enhances his communication with the spirits. This has not been proven, but whatever will ensure that he is able to communicate with the dead, he will do.
Gale has always had a fascination for the dead and spirits that most were unable to sense or even knew that they existed (namely humans). Although he despises the human race, any spirit is welcome, be they daemon, fae, human or shapeshifter. He is always friendly to his ghostly "visitors", unlike his rather cold, off-hand attitude to most living beings. His dearest companion is Kuolema, who he claims is attached to him and will stay by his side even through death.
History:
Gale was born into the average Spirit Elf family. The only difference between them was that he was more interested and fascinated by the dead compared to those of his kind. He has never doubted the dead (unless he could prove their claim wrong) and therefore was a little biased towards the other species. Gale soon developed his thirst for knowledge, seeking to learn more and more as he progressed through different education stages. He met the spirit owl at a young age, bonding quickly with the bird and naming it Kuolema.
He also has started writing a book, a collection of short stories from when he was a child, recounting the stories that the dead shared with him. As time went on, he accumulated stories of short and long, binding them into an ever-growing book with 5 volumes of yet.

"Oh, is that so?" The spirit elf intoned as he flicked through a scroll. He had brought the inked paper out to the forest, where the birdsong was plentiful. Here, in his opinion, was the best place to read. Kuolema was out hunting for herself while he himself was paying attention to a spirit, rather faint by the volume of the voice.
"Yes, sir." The voice replied in a ringing, echo-y voice. It sounded vaguely feminine and it was reporting something to him, though it was of no importance. It was merely the location of a kestrel, a bird that he had set his eyes on for no reason other than its plumage and it's call. A recent habit of his was the collection of various birds, not something that Kuolema was too happy with, being a rather jealous bird, but something that he did anyways.
"Thank you, miss." He replied to the spirit, gazing where the voice seemed to be coming from. Gale always preferred the company of the dead to the living. It was a strange obsession, but even he himself had no reason as to why he did so.
"If I may..."
"Yes, you may be dismissed. My thanks for your service go with you." Gale replied, feeling a soft wind as the spirit departed. Though he had no idea of what race the spirit was, he wasn't too bothered; someday, someday he would be able to see spirits. But for now, he was content to hear them.
