In my travels I've seen many things, and so I decided a journal to record things that stand out would be interesting. As I have seen many start out, I will just write what I think of the few who have stood out as of late, starting with those I have known the longest.
Loki: Ah yes, my irrepressible little bastard. He makes me laugh and is far more helpful than one would think. An excellent scout, and strangely enough, a wonderful friend. I can only thank the gods that he's on my side. A few hundred years and I'm still not sure just how much he's capable of, though I shudder to think of what happens to those he truly dislikes.
Gabriel: Both my leader and my best friend, Gabriel is one of the most loyal people I know. He cares fiercely for his friends and his people and is one of the best leaders the daemons have seen in a long time. That said, he can always stand to be knocked down a few pegs, if only to get him used to having his pride bashed by someone other than Loki. (As demonstrated by Auspice)
Despite his (rather normal for a daemon) pride issues, I trust him with my life.
Auspice: Probably the bravest, or possibly the most suicidal man I have ever met. I saved him from an overlarge bird cage and he hasn't stopped getting into trouble since.
He had half the city of Thieves after us, spit of the lord of all daemons, and challenged the head of a small army all on his own.
After writing this I find that I am seriously considering my previous "suicidal" comment.
He seems to be on good terms with Loki, something rare in itself, and is strikingly similar to him in personality.
Auspice is actually rather thoughtful in his own way, something I had never really expected. I write this because he seems to be truly sorry for the injury of my wings, guilty even. Usually shown in simple ways: he never mentions flight, avoids both his bird forms whenever around me, and seems to be more respectful. Truth is, I never blamed him for a second; it was my own choice to use my wings, and if it was anyone's fault then it would be the night elf, Than's. Which brings me to my next entry.
Than: Words cannot describe how much I already dislike this man. We spoke only briefly, and he seemed to be almost envious of my fighting skills, but it was obvious just how highly he thought of himself.
He was sarcastic and unnecessarily violent, even going to the lengths of kicking Auspice in the face; probably breaking his nose. Even Loki didn't like him, and while that usually isn't saying much, he really didn't like him. It was different from the way he disliked Gabriel, most likely because he was actually serious.
In the future I plan to pursue him; a plan that Loki and Auspice are sure to enjoy.
Lael: Cute little thing, though she was closely reminiscent of a frightened rabbit. Was far more innocent than she should be at her age, and it makes me wonder just what kind of life she had.
I promised to meet up with her again someday when the Shifter Island calmed down. It makes me laugh to think how she will react to Loki, perhaps Auspice or Gabriel as well.
Rio: I'm not really sure what to think of this boy yet.
He is overly formal and it seems to pain him to speak to a person casually. Is it our ranks, or was he just raised like that?
It makes me wonder how much the Dreamlands have changed since I left. Is it normal to act like him, or was he raised that way? It is a new experience to see a daemon almost entirely without fire and the egotistical quirks that most daemons tended to posses.
Another thing that intrigued me was his collar. Perhaps he was a slave? He certainly didn't carry himself like one, but it wasn't that hard to pull off.
I shall enjoy attempting to get to know him further interesting as he seems.
Jean: Much like Rio and Lael in his own way. Was obviously uncomfortable with Lael's lack of clothes, even to the point of giving him her cloak. This is rare and unusual for any race save the humans and some shifters, but for daemons it was virtually unheard of.
He seems overly nice, and I am sure this is not an act, but I do not trust him one bit. Something about him tells me that he is indeed capable of violence.
Cadrian: He seems like a nice, cheery boy. I know nothing of him save his apparent sarcastic, happy-go-lucky nature and that he's looking for a flower I have not seen in many ears. I do hope that he can find it, as the bloom he is looking for was one of the most beautiful in both Dreamland and Litharia.
I believe I have gotten those who interested me so far, and if I missed them? Well then they obviously weren't too special now were they?
I will write another journal entry later, for now I have nothing more to say.
